Finishing up the 12 week off-season workout just before the season starts is a good thing. During the final weeks of the off-season conditioning program, maximum strength and power will be reached with the overall volume being relatively low. This is optimal preparation for any competitive athlete\! You want to peak right before the season and maintain this level of conditioning by doing the in-season workouts.
